PRESENTING: Pierrick Boyer

ABOUT: We can almost call him our resident Chef because Pierrick has been with us since the very first Paris to Provence! A celebration of his life’s work, Boyer’s new venture fuses the delicacy of fine French patisseries with the indulgence of a modern-Melburnian brunching destination.

Hospitality venue specialists ZWEI Interiors Architecture designed the interior space, resulting in a minimalist aesthetic with macaron inspired powder pink accents and timeless gold features, enticing velvet seating, light timber flooring and vibrant greenery. Pierrick Boyer said this venture is a true embodiment of his years of experience and training under the world’s finest patissiers including 3 Michelin Star Chef, Alain Ducasse, Christophe Michalak (Michalak Paris), Belgium chocolatier Pierre Marcolini and - Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) awarded - chocolatier
Stéphane Leroux.

“Pierrick Boyer Café Patisserie is an all-encompassing dining experience. The intention was to create a venue for people to escape the hustle and bustle, indulge and relax and I think we have executed that really well,” said Boyer.

LOCATION: 31 Izett St, Prahran VIC 3181

SEE HIM: Sat 1 December 10.45am & Sun 2 December 10.45am or at the Pierrick Boyer Marquee

ABOUT: Agathé Kerr used to begin each working day in Paris, her hometown, with a chocolate croissant. Now Kerr is the one serving fresh French pastries to workers in the Melbourne CBD at her new store, Agathé Pâtisserie Petite, in the Royal Arcade as well as the original patisserie at the South Melbourne market.

“Being from Paris, I just love cities,” Kerr says. “The architecture, the people – there’s always something happening".  Kerr trained at prestigious cooking schools in France including L’École de Boulangerie et de Patisserie in Paris and Pâtisserie Lenôtre before moving to Melbourne with her family. She started selling her pastries at Prahran Market, then opened her shop at South Melbourne Market. You’ll smell the fresh pastries before you reach the market stall.  There are almond croissants, danishes, canelés, escargots and friands, as well as less-traditional pastries such as matcha, pandan or coffee croissants.

SEE HER: Fri Nov 30 1.00pm

PRESENTING: Damian Sandercock

ABOUT: Making terrines and rillettes is a time consuming pass time especially when made to time honoured classic French traditions and recipes. Most people don’t have the time to make these products as often as they might like. It takes days of preparation and marinating to develop the flavours and it can be arduous hand cutting, dicing, mincing to get the exact texture that we’re looking for. For us it’s a pleasure spending a few days before the ovens go on just getting everything perfect to create this beautiful food.

The vision for Piper St Food Company is to make food that begs to be shared. Damian has always made terrines for family gatherings, like a day at the races or casual family lunches and continues a three-generation tradition of giving jars of rich creamy pâté as Christmas presents.

Piper Street Food Co want to continue these traditions and share with you some secrets of really good, authentic home made terrines, rillettes and patés.

SEE HIM: Sun 2 Dec 12.30pm

SHOP: 2/89A Piper Street, Kyneton 3444
