A Kids very French Day out

Recently four very lucky kids and one excited baby, got to experience a very French day in Melbourne.

Once upon a time ... four special friends had a very French day in Melbourne, in anticipation of their favourite day of the year -

THE PARIS TO PROVENCE FESTIVAL held at Como House & Garden.

They knew it was coming up soon and just couldn't wait to explore the beautiful gardens so off they went to have an adventure!

But first, their French chauffeur Jacques-Henri had arrived!

Imagine the kids excitement when Jacques-Henri arrived in a brand new fully loaded Mercedes-Benz C200! Ooh La La La la La !

Their first adventure - a picnic high tea to test out all the foods that Paris to Provence should offer for their kids High Tea.

But being the sneaky little children they were ... they found a backdoor open and SNUCK IN to the mansion! They explored the hallways, the secret chambers, dungeons and dragons, governess rooms, Susan browns bedroom and the Armytage children's nursery.

Their little tummies started to rumble.
Which way to Gontran Cherrier? the boys wanted to know.
Which way to Petit Bateau? the girls wanted to know.

As girls often seem to, Lola and Aurelia managed to convince the boys to do a spot of shopping first! Jacques, their French chauffeur dropped them off  at the iconic French boutique, Petit Bateau in Hawksburn!
Madden found his perfect TEE and the girls squeeled with delight at the pretty party dresses ! But Aurelio was HUNGRY for croissant!

It's a good thing for him that his good friend Bjoern just happens to be the general manager at the world famous boulangerie, Gontran Cherrier, so off to croissant making class it was for our fave four, in their beautiful new clothes. Thank goodness for those aprons !!

But all that cooking in the kitchen, licking the butter and rolling the croissants made the children even HUNGRIER!

Lucky ... their chauffeur Jacques, knew just the top spot for hungry little Melbournians!

Entrecote - in South Yarra! The perfect Parisian steakhouse for hungry tummies.
They had a marvellous time, ate frites with green herb sauce, tried the Salade de Chèvre and played a few card games while sipping chocolat au lait chaud.

Of course, all good days must come to an end for busy boys and girls ... so home they went and dreamed of all things French!
Each day now, the children excitedly count down the days until the Paris to Provence festival's grand TENTH EDITION Nov 29 - Dec 2!

And of course, they hope you will join them ! Au revoir!
